Hope Chapel United Pentecostal Church was founded on Romans 15:13. Everything Hope Chapel is and does flows from that single, unwavering mission: connecting the community with Hope through the power of the Holy Ghost.
Church Planting in Olive Branch, MS
Pastor Ryan Vanderford and Lisa Vanderford answered a specific call to plant a church in Olive Branch, Mississippi, a growing city in DeSoto County where families were establishing roots and searching for something lasting. On Sunday, April 12, 2015, Hope Chapel held its first service at the historic Cotton Gin in Old Towne Olive Branch. It was an appropriate beginning, a place steeped in history, launching a church with something new to say.
Early Growth and Expansion
Within two months the congregation had outgrown that original space, a testament to God's early blessing on the work. In June 2015, Hope Chapel relocated to the Mid-South Shopping Center, where growth continued and the church's presence in the community deepened. Moving into 3200 sqf remodel and updates took place and Within a year adding another 1200 sqf unit for expanded kids ministry.
First Permanent Church Building in Olive Branch
In May 2018 came a milestone of permanence. Hope Chapel purchased and remodeled its first owned facility and 5.9 acres at 8608 Highway 178 in Olive Branch, a declaration that this congregation was planting lasting roots in DeSoto County. In 3 months the church remodeled the 8000 sqf storefront building and made it home for 7 years. During the 7 years the building and property was improved and the church expanded.
New Church Campus on Germantown Road
In September 2025, Hope Chapel took the most significant step of faith in its ten-year history, purchasing a church building and 29-acre at 8161 Germantown Road in Olive Branch, Mississippi. With renovation underway, the new campus opens a chapter built for greater ministry, expanded outreach and a lasting legacy.
