Hope Chapel UPC is a United Pentecostal Church located in the heart of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Olive Branch has experienced steady growth since the early 1990s and is now approaching a population of more than 40,000 residents within city limits. In 2011, Bloomberg Businessweek recognized Olive Branch as the fastest-growing city in the nation over a twenty-year period, and in 2017, Money Magazine ranked Olive Branch among the top five best places to live in the United States.
Hope Chapel held its first service on Sunday, April 12, 2015, at the Cotton Gin in Old Towne Olive Branch. In June 2015, the church relocated to the Mid-South Shopping Center, where it continued to grow before purchasing and remodeling a facility at 8608 Highway 178. In September 2025, Hope Chapel took another significant step of faith by purchasing a church property and 29 acres at 8161 Germantown Road and began updating the facility as our new home.
The heartbeat of Hope Chapel is to see lives connect with hope through the power of God’s Spirit. We believe every person has a God-given purpose, and when God’s Spirit moves in our lives, we are drawn closer to His plan and calling. As Romans 15:13 declares, “Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”
Hope Chapel was founded in 2015 by Pastor Ryan and Lisa Vanderford and their family, who continue to faithfully serve the church and the Olive Branch community with a passion for hope, growth, and transformation.

HOPE CHAPEL is a part of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). Being a part of an organization of churches is Scriptural (see the narrative in Acts 15) and has several benefits for our local congregation:
1) We have the privilege of uniting with the body of Christ around the world and fulfilling the Great Commission through prayer, giving, and serving.
2) Our congregation and leaders are able to obey Scripture by remaining accountable to spiritual authority and the counsel of the body of Christ.

Pastors Ryan and Lisa Vanderford are the founding pastors of Hope Chapel UPC, located in Olive Branch, Mississippi. Since launching Hope Chapel in 2015, they have faithfully served the church and surrounding community with a passion for sharing hope, building strong families, and leading people into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ.
Pastor Ryan brings practical, Bible-centered preaching with a heart for spiritual growth, leadership development, and community transformation. Lisa is deeply committed to discipleship, hospitality, and nurturing the spiritual health of families and individuals. Together, they lead with authenticity, compassion, and a shared vision to see lives changed through the power of God’s Spirit. Ryan and Lisa believe every person has a God-given purpose, and their ministry is centered on helping people discover hope, grow in faith, and live out that calling. Their leadership continues to shape Hope Chapel as a life-giving, Spirit-filled church serving Olive Branch and the Mid-South. |
